Gee, guess how I am going to vote?........This is my first "vert" and it makes it different car. There are times even on a sunny day I leave the top up, but when it is retracted, it is a whole new riding experience.
If you go to the vert forum, there are enough horror stories of bad ragtops, glad I didn't see it before I bought mine. Knock on wood, mine has been flawless and I really enjoy it. Finally, a Convertible really stands out in the crowd. |

My vert was one of the first to have issues and the top replaced. I personally came up with a few of GM's official fixes. My top still has very slight issues that don't really bother me.
Would I go through it all over again? HELL YES! I could NEVER own a hard top Camaro.

had purchased a left over 2011 vert. went to pick it up noticed that the top did not fit properly when in the up position ( 1" cap all along the trunk line ) they said warranty would take care of it, I told them that I'm not buying a car with a warranty issue before I even pay for it. Backed out of the deal, brought a 2012 hardtop, happy with that. Been too many issues with the tops on the verts for me.

If you live in a place where you can put the top down often get the vert. The SS sounds so good with the top down. It handles the wind so wonderfully. Easy to have conversations or take phone calls with the top down. Never been in a smoother convertible. That said, desperately wish the top went up and down faster.

My wife gave me permission to buy the Camaro as long as it was a convertible. So, my choice was a convertible...

If it was a Hardtop Drop like the XLR then yes. Other than that the only way I would go Vert is if it was on a 69 Continental.

I have had both!! 1st was a 2011 1LT LOVED IT!!! Traded for a 2011 2SS/RS LOVE IT-- have not had any of the top issues yet!?!? Can't go wrong either way!!!!
