Is it just the camera angle, or is that shifter really tall?

That Hurst shifter is so nice but I was told by the Chevy parts dept. that I would void my transmission warranty by not putting the factory Hurst shifter on. I am still waiting!!

Just finished the install and test drive.

This is a must for anyone that wants fast smooth shifting.

Only three things to watch out for when it's your turn;

- You will punch yourself in the face when you pull-off the factory knob

- You will need a tight universal joint adapter when installing the supplied counter sunk mounting screws with a 4mm hex drive socket or a wobble type 4mm hex drive socket. Be care not the cross-thread the screws, its not a straight shot.

- Putting the lower dust boot back on properly is a big challenge if you have big hands and fingers. For me it was the longest part of the install. And if it is not done right and sealed it might be where the noise is coming from that some are complaining about.

The new kit comes with a "Noise, Vibration & Harshness Reduction Kit" (2 Dynamat squares and Neoprene Isolators). I did not use any of it and have no noise or vibration.

No its about the same as the stock shifter it looks that way cause the shift knob on the stock shiter is much bigger (taller) then the white ball so the chrome lever makes up the diffrence

Yeah, the video is a great tool with some very clear shots of what to expect of the installation. Special thanks goes out to Camaro5's linkwpc for use of his car.
