Before upgrades, I would like some advice

Hello everyone, not sure if this is the right section that I could post some questions about upgrading but if its not, sorry. Ok, so I am looking to do some upgrades on my car (2011 Camaro SS)

1. Full American racing exhaust 1 7/8 no cats
2. Mgw shifter
3. Dyno tune
4. Port and polish TB
5. Tr 55 spark plugs

I have been quoted from 2 great shops. They both quoted me around $4200. My first question is, is this a good base for a supercharger down the line? by down the line I mean 2-3 yrs down the line lol. My second question is this a good price? I understand you have to pay to play and parts are not cheap I just want to hear from the C5 community. Thanks guys and or ladies.

Find a new shop, they're hosing you!

The headers are around ~$900 IIRC, the shifter is $380, dyno tune $4-600, you can buy a VMAX ported TB for $220 and TR55 spark plugs $20 for all 8.

Thats $2120, and thats on the high side assuming all the parts are costing you an arm and a leg. Sure the shop needs to charge labour, but they're really hosing you if that's the case.

The best bang for your buck on headers are the TSP 1 7/8" long tubes..they're like just under $500: http://texas-speed.com/p-2168-texas-...ro-ss-62l.aspx

Look in the classifieds/marketplace.
