Shorties or long tubes?
Can someone explain the differences to me? (Other than price and HP gains) what is the sound difference?

Shorties are closer to stock sounding.
Prepare for your lashings.

Shorties are pointless. Long tube Headers are not.

Go with long tubes and save money. If you get shorties and don't like the sound as much you will be paying almost twice the labor. You won't regret the long tubes. You're in Georgia so there is no snow out there which means you can even go with mild steel headers which cost less than stainless steel.

Like everyone is saying....don't waste your time (money) on the shorties....unless you don't want to every change your complete exhaust down the road and don't plan to ever modify the motor any, but even then, you won't see much difference in power with the shorties over the stock manifolds!

The gains and sound difference with shorties is not worth the money. For slightly more you can get long tubes which will be a game changer in both categories.

Yes I agree shorties are a waist of time and money and after all the research that I have done Dynatech make the most power for a good price and yes they sound awesome. But you will need a tune. Check out Torq Motorsports they can get you the tune you need at a fraction of the cost of most shops.

Short tubes have exactly that, a shorter tube leading off the header. Some have dyno tested to actually have NO gains haha. Definitely not worth the money.
Long tubes are a huge HP boost for the money and sound great |
