First time at the drag strip
I'm going to a drag strip for the first time . I've always been a street racer but age has a way of changing things .
I'm 640 RWH on a mustang dyno and m6. I just bought a set of bogarts 17" with 325 m/h drag radials and I have another set of 20" pilot ss 315 coming in soon . I know the drag radials will stick better but what are my chances of blowing a axle or rear end if I hook . I'm not sure if I should put the 325 ,s on until I beef up the axles and rear end . Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

I'm never one to suggest spending money on fancy parts, but I think you need aftermarket axles.

I'm going to install a dss drive shaft and dss 1000 hp axles before I hit the strip . I was going to try and install a new clutch first but maybe the axles and drive shaft should be first. Thanks for the input.

Drive shaft isn't needed. I'd get a Trutrac, axles and gears. Since you're going to open it up, knock it all out at once. The rear housing can take more than what you're giving it.
I'm sitting right about where you are and a good pass on 20" P-Zeros gets me booted for no cage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
