Treat'em all the same and it depends on the violation. With most drivers if it's nothing to serious then I let them off with a verbal warning. "Hey, slow the hell down". If they want to get mouthy, then it's their own damn fault.

Ok, if you see a camaro with no front license plate in a license plate state, do you let it slide? I'm purposefully registering in louisiana so I can not install a front license plate (also cheaper property taxes). side note, should i go with a ducks unlimited license plate or just normal 'sportsman paradise'? http://omv.dps.state.la.us/Special%2...es_display.asp

I'd give a warning as long as the driver was polite and didn't talk himself into a ticket with attitude. I won't even pull one over for no front plate. Car looks better without it.

Soooo I got my first warning for no plate... If I'm ever pulled over again without the plate... what's next... ticket for sure??? Go directly to jail??? or does the warning even show in the system...

I really don't want to put it on there, (but may have to now) and I hear legislation is in the works to eliminate it for TX..

If you choose to break the law (with no front plate), you deal with the consequences.

I can see if an officer wants to give a break but it should not be expected or deserved because of the car you drive.

Good choice! Mine, of course, will be an LSU plate with some custom stuff.

If it's like Arkansas plates it depends on where you want the money to go. I'm already a DU supporter so I chose the AR Game & Fish plate.

Support the Troops plates sound like a good idea!

Just asked a simple question while trying to keep it light...

Tell me something I don't know... you're always so good at putting a negative spin on things, no matter what thread it is...
I'm out of here...

I don't know about other states, but in Denver Colorado we do not look up driver's history on a traffic stop. There are people out there that will talk themselves into a ticket though.

It is kind of a negative tone there, but he is right. I'm actually glad the dealer screwed up and mounted the plate frame on the front bumper. It fits a hell of alot better then the one they put on my 08 SS Impala (Real flimsy-cheesy looking). The Camaro one fits the bumper like a glove.

My family goes out to eat alot, taking the Camaro. I usually will have 2 beers- (No more, or else the wife drives- ) I do not want to put up with the hassle of being questioned on 2 beers.

Warnings are usually good for 90 days........ IF you don't repeat the vioation within 90 days, then you're clear. BUT, if you do repeat the violation within the 90 day period, you'll for sure get a ticket.

Yes, I HAVE heard the same thing as to the law for the front license plate being removed from the books ..... just don't know when it's up for the vote. Seems like it's a Sept vote. ??? A friend of mine (who's in the know) says it's a pretty good chance it'll pass this time. YEA!!!

I won't be getting my car until late Sept... so, maybe the law will pass by then & it won't be an issue for me.
