blower porting
So im loving my zl1 and currently have the lower and upper pulleys done, my question is i never hear of anybody porting the blowers. I had a shelby before this and there was all kinds of places doing different stages of blower work. Is there a reason for not doing these. I have my snout ported but just dont see much about the rest being done.

Just search a little, plenty of people porting the blower. Most stop at the snout, because I believe, the gains for porting the blower and snout are pretty marginal over just the snout

he gains from porting are going to come from porting the heads and porting the blower snout to accept a larger throttle body. what my tuner told me is alot of shops just go and grab a of the self cam rather then having a cam specked out for the air flow their car is going to now be pushing. I was told that the time and $$ spent on porting the lsa blower is not effective. there are so many other additions before you make the decision of porting out the blower. (Wait and see what kind of numbers i am going to be making without porting the supercharger)

I have 670hp on 91 octane and 720hp on race gas. there is power to be made with a ported s/c. ask mike at G-FORCE or matt at 21st CENTURY MUSCLE CAR or ben at WEAPONS X they can help you out.
