You must remember that They've removed the cowl so there is about 6 inches gained that would normally hide the engine. Lots of space for a move like 2".

On top of all the hoses, wires, lines, modules, etc that have been moved. Even with 2 inches back it will be the roomiest engine bay out of all 5th gens haha.

and the rear plugs would actually be saying hello, as they'd be in the drivers seat by that point. i love how roomy the 5th gen is in comparison... |

Craig sent us this pictures today. Everything is welded in except for the upper control arm brackets. He still need to finish the upper control arms. Hoping to get everything ready for shipping by tonight. Sorry for the delay on updates. We have a lot of stuff we've done but haven't had time to down load pictures and post the updates. Hopefully over the weekend I'll get some time. I feel the interior is going to be as nice as the rest of the car. Wiat till you guys see what we are doing. |

Excited about the interior, but you better have mirrors underneath at events so people can appreciate that one-off cradle.

This thing should be 60 to 70 lbs lighter. Finishing up the upper control arms. Quote:
Sorry guys we been to busy to post pictures. Here are a few We redid the shock towers an second time. We were concern since the car is going to be seeing track duty the skim coat would crack under load. So we removed it and welded all the seem to give it added strength. Sorry no pictures of the process but here they are after skimming them. A little smoother look as we dd away with the seem line. Skim coated all the spot welds that were left after removing the L brace on each side. Half of the trans tunnel will be exposed metal and the other half we'll be covered in the flooring material we are using. The rear section is going to mimic the engine bay. So are leaving it in metal. The divider will be simular to the firewall. The give it a clean look we are welding all the holes in the interior quarters. Welded 40 plus holes so far and have about another 40 to go. Made a little filler panel to fill in the factory recess. It will get powder coated anthracite with exposed bolts. similar to the panels in the engine bay on each side of the shock towers. Also skim coated all the spot welded on the rear floor for a cleaner look. Justin's handy work on the brake lines. AS lot more stuff has been done I'll try posting when I get a chance.
