Best color for stripes on black car.
I have had my Camaro for over a year and have done a lot of mods on it. I found this picture with stripes that I thought was the best looking stripe job I have ever seen. I had planned on keeping the car "naked" but once I seen these stripes I wanted them.
I guess I'm looking for opinions on what color stripes look best on a black SS/RS. I had originally thought silver, but my daughter likes gold, and a buddy suggested red. Any opinions on what stripe color would look the best? Russ |

It's all up to personal preference, but black with gold would make for a rare combo, just saying. You also may want to take your interior color into consideration. . . I wouldn't do red stripes with beige interior etc.

I think my favorite is simply metallic on black. As mentioned above, gold on black looks sweet, but I also love silver on black.
If you wanted red on black, you could see what a candy apple red metallic would look like. That may be slick.

Do gold like the gold oz rims and get the rims as well, would look sharp. had an 85 z28 like that.

Forget the stripes
The black Camaro is so badass the way it is, why mess with perfection. Stripes are just greasy kid stuff.

It's all personal preference.. Do you want the stripes to stand out or to be subtle? I went subtle - CGM with black matte facotry stripes and am happy with my choice. I've seen two black SS's with black matte stripes on it which doesn't sound very appealing - but it looked really sharp.
The black/gold combination would be rare for the Camaro - the first thing I thought of was the old TransAm's with that color scheme. SIM striping would also be sweet and stand out a lot. CGM is an option as well. Good Luck, please share your finished Camaro. |

I would say IOM, but gold may look sweet too!
