Yes, but you have to set it that way in the settings, it is under convenience settings, passive auto lock I believe is how it is listed.

Ya I had to go into the vehicle settings and set it to do that. It is a nice feature except when its in the garage and you want to quickly grab something out of the car and realize you don't have the key on you, but I like the feature overall. Also, don't forget to enable the extra Info and Performance pages in the DIC, like the 0-60 timer, thats fun.

Don't think it would lock if the keys were in the vehicle regardless of setting.

Auto lock is disabled by default from factory, all GM cars with passive entry are like this.

If they let it sit outside with the doors unlocked and where the public could get to it, I'd have a severe discussions with the owner of the dealership!

I'm sure the owner would hit the roof since anything like that would be a significant risk to any kind of damage to vehicles on his/her lot.

I checked the manual, it does have the anti-lockout feature. The drivers side door won't lock (you out) if the RKE is inside the vehicle. My wife's 2011 challenger has this feature, it's a lifesaver, especially for women if they exit/lock the vehicle and forget their purse inside (not a big problem for us guys).

I have repeatedly left my keys in the car, without that crazy horn beep i would have been locked out 50 times now.
