How much real world difference does diff option make with auto
Hey all. Just wanted your thoughts on how much of a difference in the 'real world driving' does the lower ratio diff (2.73) make compared to the 3.23 option if in an an auto LT1 28?

Depending on what you are going to do with the dd or a weekend car, drag racing. I have my stock 323 with a 2800 stall and it's great drivability. Im wanting to go 373 just to get a little better out of the hole jump. 373 gears are going to be the steepest I'm going for my car because once you go any lower you loose the dravability of going long distances.

They make a very notable difference. They are one of the big reasons most people thing WS6 and SS cars are faster than the base cars...early on most base cars had the 2.73s and the SSs had 3.23s. (I am speaking to LS1 cars...I do not have any experience with LT1 cars.) |

I personally wouldn't do it, one of my best mods where getting rid of my 2.73 in my ls1
