a guy from WOT Tuning responded and said

Do you have any exhaust mods that may have relocated the O2 sensor(s) to a position other than stock?

For what its worth, the tune doesn't change anything that would cause your readiness checks to fail. If you were on the stock tune you'd probably have the same problem.

Yep I got an email from my buddy with a Cadillac cts with an LLT and he checked his obd and his evap is the only one not complete. He had his tuned over a year ago. He did say you are allowed to have one not complete.

Not to high jack the thread correct if you don't change your manifolds, or go high flow cats any combination. If so you will end up with two incompletes.

(WOT IS LAME Imo) they don't answer your question it a guessing game your best answer will be finding some one who isnt afraid to say it. I will Vince needs to step up his game not saying he a bad tuner but it seems that he needs to listen more to what problems are happening with his tunes. Trust me there are tons and wot is where they hibernate.

Reverse if you change any you are more than likely going to have a problem.

It's insane a I did it for 6 month total with LT and then turbo before just giving up and doing a dot visual because monitors would not complete.

I'm going to have to use my buddy's address that lives a few miles from me as his county doesn't require inspection since they live far out from the city. Only way I see getting around this without having a heart attack come April for me.

I have shorty headers and a tune and have never had this prob. It just don't make sense that some can pass and some can't.

WOT seems to think I need to correct the underlying o2 sensor issue FIRST...then tune and everything should be fine...only problem is...i thought the tune turns off the rear o2 sensors...so we are waiting to hear from vince on that one

tick ticktick...ticktick (chris berman style)

just as another stick to the fire...chevy 3 has the JBA headers..which...besides being bolt on and a darker color...are virtually identical to the Doug Thorley Headers i have (polished and weld on)

i have a sneaking suspicion that the install process may have either cooked the circuit or something...(the dealer did repair a broken pin in the o2 sensor connector)

regardless...my point is...chevy 3 passes inspection and he has the Trifecta tune as well...now he does get a CEL from time to time... but it clears on its own

so it sounds to me...like we have a case to make to Trifecta for getting some better computer programming for our cars...

im likely going to revert back to the stock tune and save up some money over the winter...come spring ill have the cause of the light checked...fixed...and go from there

I guess the question is have you gotten through the emission since the tune ? And have your readiness test been completed ? I guess I just want to know if an LLT tune won't let us get these test completed or not.

well i heard back from Vince finally....he said that if the exhaust has been modded and youre not passing emissions tests, then it'll need to be restored back to stock. This is regardless of whether the car is tuned or not.

so...with that said...it would appear im going to revert back to the stock program and see if i can pass that way...if it passes without the tune...but keeping my headers...then ive got evidence that proves Vince wrong...however...if the monitors still do not correct themselves....it looks like ill be going back to the stock manifolds as well..

question...if i remove the headers...will i need a re-tune or are those just for additions and not subtractions?
