More Power Steering Problems!!!!!

This is Maybe My Fault for not getting it checked but none of these dealers here in AZ have heard of this problem yet.
My car first started having problems where when you started the car I had no power steering and this was only at 200 miles or so.Let it sit for a little bit and all worked fine.
Happened again a few more times and called the dealer and they acted like ,
No we never heard of this problem..So I thought i would just wait and see what happens.
The car now has 5400 mile and guess what???
I manage two automotive repair shops and you know how Fridays can be.
Everything that can go wrong has so far.I was on my way to pick up some parts around the corner and was making a left hand turn, not really speeding but was moving a little..and bammmmm No power steering and it jerked the wheel out of my hand and almost took out a Truck and a nice big curb..
Sprang my wrist pretty good ,not broken but holy cow was that close.
What would have happened if this happen to my wife if she was driving..She would have taken out the truck and the curb!!!!
This car has a doctors appt on Monday at the dealer...This was too close!!!
Not Happy ..

Is your car a ZL1? The ZL1's have a different system then other Camaro's.

There is a fix for the A/C problem, Chapman up there figured it out. I had my dealer down here do it and it worked. Basically they charge the system to full and then back out 1 or 2 ounces.

This is serious business here. It's all fun and games until the PS goes out when not expected.

just imagine the kind of $$$ loot $$$ that you'd get from a major GM lawsuit if and when this were to happen again but this time you actually hit something. (although I would hope that you and any others involved wouldn't be severely hurt).

I'm telling you. GM better do something about this BS before it causes someone severe pain and suffering or worse yet the loss of someone's priceless life.

I'm just waiting for the day this P/S problem happens to me and it causes any bodily harm to me and whoever else. you can bet every ounce of tea in China that I will sue GM for every freaking penny that whatever money hungry attorney I hire can get. this BS has gone on way too long for GM to keep turning their eyes on this one.

Happens to me just like that except I curbed my rim and lower control arm.. It sat at Chevy for 9 weeks with nothing being done. I pulled it out and paid for it out my pocket.. Chevys customer service is the worst.. I will never buy from them ever again.

You paid for what? What the hell was wrong with the dealer? Tell me more please. Did you call the GM rep for your area?

ive had a recent problem with my 13 Z vert. Gets really hard to steer on a long turn at medium speed. but goes away after it goes straight again. feels like the power assist completely quit and came back.
