Add tilt sensor to GM alarm?

Does anyone know what is needed and how to install a tilt sensor into the factory alarm?

Parts/wiring?

I believe they have one available through GM accessories. They do for every other vehicle.

Yes it can be done (I did it) it's wired thru the trunk pin, ran into problems trying to connect it to the hood pin, they told me it wasn't drawing enough current to trigger the alarm
Digital Tilt Sensor made by VIPER total cost $90

How did you connect it ? in series or parallel w/ trunk pin ?

It needs to be in series. If they are in parallel, then both switches would have to be closed to trigger the alarm. In series, either one will trigger it.

It needs to be PARALLEL.

Ex:

Series:----SWITCH--------Tilt sensor-------- BOTH have to be closed to alarm.
PARALLEL: I-------SWITCH------I
PARALLEL: I-------Tilt Sensor---I EITHER will create alarm.

My bad, I was looking at it backwards. If either switch was to OPEN when triggered, then it would have to be in series. Since they CLOSE when triggered, then either switch will trigger the alarm.
