How Long Does It Take...

To go from status code 3000 to 3800 usually? My order # is NNGQCM 3000, and has been that way since 8/20/2009. I've also seen some people that are at 3000 with a TPW, but mine did not get that. Does that mean anything bad?

I'm just sorta confused. Help out a newbie please!

Thanks

I don't know how long from 3000-3800, but I'm currently at 3000 and have my TPW of 9/21. I went to 2000 on 8/15 and 3000 on 8/18. I would think you should have your TPW by now.

Thanks for the reply. So once we get a TPW, then we get a VIN right?

the TPW is the WEEK of your cars build, it could be built any day that week, IF its on time. I got my TPW at 3300. on 8/10, my TWP was 8/17, on the 8/18 my order went to 3400 as the order was brodcast. my car went to 3800 (built) on the 22nd, which is when I got my VIN. that is typical of the process. you can see all of this in my sig.

Wow Sir Nuke. It took about a month for you to change from 3000 to 3300! All this waiting around makes me want to go buy a GT Mustang! Just kidding.... but honestly. I know they are super backed up right now in the manufacturing plant. Wished I could throw some cash their way to expedite my order! Heh.

So many people have been told by their salesman that they would or could have their car in 6 weeks, that is pipe dream, truely it is, is it possible?, sure, but its not the norm, by a long shot. My Salesman told me up front it most likely would be between 8 to 10 weeks, and could be as much as 12. As long as my car doesn't get held up in the shipping process, and that does happen sometimes, I should be getting my car in about two weeks, that puts me getting my car right at 8 weeks after I ordered it. So keep your chin up, have faith, it will all be worth it in the end.

You'll get the VIN after the car is built.

TPW = Target Production Week.

That is the week your car will be built. The Vin comes when it "rolls" off the end of the line and is a sellable product.

It varies how long from 3000 to 3400 based on parts availability. (3400 is when your car starts on the line). If you are at 3000, you are on your way..

you need to get the TPW. follow the camaro tracking thread (you will need the work order #) and 'the viz' will help you out as he did with all of us.

I ordered mine on 5-23, she was born on 8-13, shipped a couple days later and is now sitting at a railyard in OKC awaiting a transport truck to come to Tulsa.

It's a long wait...unless you have alot of patience.
