I'm with the OP. I don't understand why the Ford/Dodge fans are here either. Most of them use the "I'm a car enthusiast" excuse, but then you read what they write and they are basically anti-Camaro, or worse, against anyone who prefers Camaros.

It's like they have no understanding of what a fansite is.

Currently I own a G8, but personally I'm a Dodge guy. If the charger had been refreshed last year when I went to purchase a new car I might be in one. As it is, I love my G8 (even if it is a puny V6). I don't see myself letting go of the G8.

When it comes time for me to get another car I'll have a really hard time choosing between the Challenger/Camaro.

As for why I'm here so often. I do spend some time on the challenger forums and on dodgetalk. But I've never been to a forum that's quite as awesome as C5. So really, it's YOUR fault I spend so much time here.

The only thing that gets on my nerves is the absurdly stupid comments. Hard to bite my tongue on those.

And I was a HUGE fan of the 4th gens. Was so close to buying one myself.

The 5th gen is growing on me. I like the looks but hate the weight of the car. The LS3 is a great motor though.

I lurked this site for a long time, then eventually joined. I owned a 99 Camaro and planned on buying a 2011 SS (was interested in it since I seen the concept at the Detroit Auto Show).

For reasons I wont get into in this thread, I decided to buy a 2011 Mustang instead.

I am a member of http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/2011-mustang/

I still like the Camaro. We even have a V6 at my work that I occasionally drive (just drove it again today).

I occasionally come here just to see whats happening. I am an American, and quite proud of the 3 American muscle cars. I have been on here a bit more lately because of some interesting threads.

I honestly don't see why so many of you get your panties in a bunch over the "other" guys coming here. It spices things up and gives a different perspective.

To each his own. I wont let the whiny weenies keep me away. BTW, come on in the Mustang Forum and post some stuff. It would make for some interesting reads.

Show me any other resourse in which you get the info you get here! True PROFESSIONALS lurk here who are very good at what they do. Bonus, we also get the guys from GM who enjoy participating with us here. This sort of success is contagous and will draw a few... you know. But if you let them they will reveal themselves and then who cares what they say. We have learned a lot about our cars from those "other guys" who are legit. Glad to have them.

Try it anyway. Or do you think we don't bite our tongues when you guys are having a post-frenzy about whatever the latest Mustang track times are?

I see it the way I do my home..... Everyone is welcome to come over, come on over and have a great time. Its not being here that is the problem. It is what you do when you get here.

Dont come over and immediately start telling me your children are better than mine. Because they will have to grow up telling friends their parent got their ass kicked at a party for jacking his jaw.

It would benefit the "non Camaro" owners greatly if they slapped the Trolls down every once and a while.

Dont just wear this shirt because you do not have a Camaro.

well said, I see the same non Camaro big mouths that are here just to bash the Camaro and then there are the others who don't, but the same big mouths that bash the Camaro all of the time should be banned from this site.

I'm sure you do and I don't have any problem with factual evidence.

I am talking about absurdly stupid comments. Or people talking about stuff they have no idea about.

Some of the best conversations i've ever had about cars have been with people that didn't own the same one I had. If someone likes machinery and is respectful, I don't care what they drive, come on in and hang out.

In all fairness... there are some Camaro owners out there that shouldn't be on this site either...

I don't frequent many other forums anymore, but usually when I get interested in something I join a related forum to learn about it. I used to be very active on v8s10.org but I moved on to here. Especially with how popular internet forums have become, they're are a priceless information source.
