CAI questions

Hey I'm thinking about buying a Cold air inductions CAI. I'm wondering what this will do for me. I know the obvious power gain but will it make any extra noises or make my exhaust deeper? I have MRT 1.0

It will make your engine sound "throatier", with a slight "whoosh", very noticeable from the driver's seat. It sounds goooood.

I haven't checked the exhaust end yet and probably won't until I get ready to mod the exhaust.

Not unless it directly messes something up and can be proven by the dealership.

A Cai wont void your warrenty. Also UND, how do you like your MRT 1.0? Im thinking about running the same setup.

Well, it's awesome at times and a burden at others. When it's Just me in the car with some music on and the windows down I love it and the sound is amazing compared to the stock. When I hear a stock v6 I think of how pathetic it sounds now I have the new pipes (mrt 1) another upside is its cheap and installs nice. The downside is when others are in the car or on the highway. It doesn't bother me to much and the drone has gone down with the miles but I feel bad when my mom or girlfriend is in the car and its pretty damn loud inside on the acceleration . I love them though and probably wouldn't trade it for any other system. I want a CAI to get some swoosh noises and some more rumble tho

I just had a CAI system installed on my 2013 2LT/RS camaro and was surprised to see the water bottle under the cover. Will that cause me any issues as long as I'm careful when I fill it?

No your fine just try not to spill it on your filter (obvious reasons) if you don't like it there you can buy a W/W bottle relocation that I think that comes with a scoop that adds even more air to the underside of the filter and since there is a cover I would bounce around all over the box and the filter would get as much air as possible compared to Roto-Fab and other company's

So with that and the MRT V2s it should be interesting how it turns out.

I'm still on the fence whether I should get the MRT V2s or something else.

CAI claims 16 RWP. That is bang for the buck no doubt. I filled my ww tank today amazingly it only took 2 min and I was able to do it without spilling a drop. BTW Rain-X ww fluid is the schitt.

Get past about 4-5k rpms and you will really hear it, and you will love it! Theoretically it should give you better mpg, but you'll be revving above 4k to hear it so often you will end up losing the mpg gain.

Yeah... I'm looking forward to getting the MRT V2's installed and driving it a few days before bad weather sets in!
