Is it possible to change the userid / nickname used in this forum or is it easier to register a new account?

You'll have ask Tran, the site administrator. He is the only one who can change it for you.

Generally, we don't encourage people to create multiple accounts. On the other hand, if you abandon this one & create another account we probably wouldn't even notice.
