Continuesly Knocking..
I heared some continuesly knocking only when the car is cold after a while from starting my car. I believe it came from the back side.
I hear it everytime after starting the car in morning. Let's say after 5 mins from starting the car. After that I don't hear it. Its only in the morning when that car is cold. Could it be the battery problem? But I am sure that the pulled my car and has been delayed to get it because of the recall thing. So I don't know really.

Okay so now what? If I take it in are they going to tell me to hall @ss? Honestly it doesn't sound like it's coming from the engine though...
I will pay more attention next time. Thanks for the info.

It seems it from the back side of the car. I have a doubt with a battery because it is in the back trunk. The confusion that I know my car have been pulled back to the plant to fix the recall thing and I believe they did the batter case. What else could it be?

Is piston slap a common problem in GM cars? I've only owned one other Chevy in my life, and it didn't have the problem. Is this a serious issue with the cars that GM will not fix or what?

Piston slap doesnt cause any harm if you do have it. |

My former 2005 Chevy SSR with the 6.0L LS2 engine had a bad case of piston slap. It was considered "normal" and GM would not fix it since they did not consider it a problem.

If it is really a piston slap and common thing. Then all Camaros should have the same thing. Everyone agree?

piston slap still occurs. nearly every motor out there has some piston slap. what you need to look out for is excessive piston slap as far as it not causing harm? thats 99.9999999999999999% of owners that do have piston slap will never have a problem (save for the annoying noise), but piston slap can be a big problem. however, it usually takes a long time for any significant damage to occur. piston slap happens in nearly every motor out there. however, some motors will have more than others.

Have someone start the car while you listen underneath for location of the noise.
