Heat shield rattle?? Anybody else..

I noticed from a stop - accelerating from 1st through 2nd gear, I am getting a buzz from the rear. It sounds like a heatshield is loose.

Anybody else??

Someone posted that they thought they had an "inner muffler baffle" loose causing a vibration but I forget where it was.

It's a loose baffle in one (or both) of the muffler cans. Mine had it too. Sometimes goes away once they heat up. Put it on a hoist and whack each one with your hand and you'll hear it. Dealer will replace under warranty.

Jury is still out on that. Mine is doing it and dealer hasn't said they'd replace it yet.

Tell them they need to fix it. Period. They are obliged to since I don't think that a rattling exhaust system was listed as one of the standard features of the car. Might want to mention to them to try what I said. That will help diagnose. GM knows about the issue so they shouldn't have any issue getting warranty parts.

I have noticed a tiny bit of rattling when the HVAC fan is on. Not sure if that's normal or not. It isn't all that noticeable.
