Welcome to the site! Hope you enjoy it. Lots of good members who like to help each other out just like you're doing here.

I paid $2,200 for my 69. I bought it from the original owner in Colorado Springs, 30 yrs to the date after he bought it from Daniels Chevy. 7/30/99.
BTW, the owner was 93 yrs old and it was his wife's car who passed away 10 yrs earlier.

I did have to invest mucho $$ to restore and it took 3 yrs because I did most of the work on her.

I have the protecto plate, owners manual and paper work that came with it. And yes it is all original. I did do some mods like the wheels, carb and intake but kept the original parts.

The moral of the story is this...the proverbial "car in the barn" stories are still out there....you just have to keep looking and maybe you too can get lucky.

Thanks again Tag and Z28! Yes Z28, it's a 350 with TH350 and 10 bolt rear containing 3.55:1 gear. Originally it had 2.56:1 highway gear from hell which made it very hard to do this I had Flowmaster 30 series installed, converting to dual exhast, after the engine was rebuilt. I replaced the front springs with Eibach which lowered about 3 inches. I had to cut one coil off to get the desired stance. Then I removed the original, rusted multi-leafs and upgraded with a pair from Classic Industries that lowered the rear 1.5". She sure does corner more aggressively now!!

I must say that moving from Colorado to the east coast has improved the engines performance. Much more oxygen at sea level than at 6,000 feet!

Anyone here ever do hole shots into their garage??

I have a 1969 RS/SS Convertible that did not have the original motor, so I decided to dump in a 502 Ram Jet in there last summer along with updated tranny, brakes, suspension, steering, etc. Daytona yellow with black stripes.

We have 2 '67s...a vert and a hart top. I have never seen either of them run. :( The vert is my hubby's car from before we met and we bought the hardtop as a project to be our getaway car for our wedding. Folks...don't try to restore a car while planning a wedding. It doesn't work. Life has been so busy that we haven't had time to work on these, but someday I'd like to have one of them to cruise to work in. Hint, hint.

They stopped making parts for the camero years ago. Way too rare to find anything as spare parts too so good luck.

yeah, I seriously thought that we could finish the '67 hardtop before the wedding... and I was wrong... its really not that far off from being finished, but its just enough that I never have enough time to finish it :(

and as soon as we have a place to open that car up and not have it hit another car, it will be finished or progress will start... but until then, its a place holder in the garage.
