My newly upgraded SS vs. 2011 Shelby GT500

Title says it all, and my sig. shows what I have. What I do know about the Shelby, is that he has the Whipple upgraded blower, and tune to 576rwhp.

im pretty sure you could shut your car off, get out, eat a sandwhich, get back in, start the car back up, and still win lol.

Manage to get your 60' into the 3.0 range and it could be close!

You could probably kill the car before the 1/8th and still give the Shelby a run.

With those numbers it should be no contest but i've seen crazy stuff happen. Those are really weak numbers for a 2.9 Whipple swap. They usually see mid to high 600s. Breaking the 700 club with full bolt ons and nice gas.

Use driver mod and have plenty of traction from wide DR's and it will be a no contest. I also agree the GT500 should be at or near 700rwhp but still just drive right with the right tires and no worries. 800rwhp in our cars with the right 60ft and driver is a 9second car. All of this assuming the stock diff, driveshaft, clutch and short block dont take a dump. Good luck.

seeing as Chevy's already put more power to the ground due to advanced engineering...and you 150+ HP advantage....did you have to ask? Unless he has some E/T streets with 15 PSI and doing burnouts and you are on stock Pirellis and you guys are racing the 1/4....I wouldnt worry too much.
