Are 2010 Mustangs already on lots?
Note: I understand the reason for the Camaro's delay and I'm not, personally, complaining about it. This is simply my observation.
So I was driving back to my house Sunday and saw a burgundy Mustang in front of one of my neighbors' house. I hadn't seen it there before and normally I wouldn't have paid any attention, but something seemed... off... about it. So as I made the turn past the house, I rubbernecked a bit and saw that it was, indeed the new model Mustang. So are these already on lots or does he have something like a CTF? If they're already on lots, I'm sad to say that I'm disappointed the GM couldn't get the Camaros on the street before, or even at the same time as, the new competition. Does anyone know? Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but the overall theme seems to me to be related to the Camaro, and it's general discussion.

Yes, they are on lots now. Sucks for the Camaro...

No it's a non issue. The Camaro production line is open that's all that counts. They are working on inspection, fixing and delivery.
If someone wanta a stang then by all means go buy it and join a Ford forum. Good things come to those that wait. |

No, it isn't like they want to make sure this is a perfect as possible before anyone gets their hands on it. How much R&D work do you think Ford did on the new Mustang? Camaro's are on the way people, just chill.
In fact, they would probably be on dealer lots as we speak if GM didn't have the graciousness to allow you impatient people a pre-order.

What is going on with the Camaros. Are there problems or is GM holding for the "May Release"? GM really needs to get this car out there.

How many of us are on this forum? And how many are actually buying a Camaro? It's a non-issue for me, but I guarantee you it's not completely a non-issue for all prospective buyers. The fact of the matter is that GM's future clients are not all on this forum. The sucky part is that, if someone's in the market for something like a Mustang, finds a Mustang on a lot, and can't compare it to a Camaro because he or she can't see it in the flesh, that may be the single factor that makes him or her buy the Mustang.

That's fine, all these people who buy new Mustangs are going to have some serious buyers remorse when the see the Camaro on the streets.

I can see your points but it's not like the 'Stang is pretty much a new car, unlike Camaro. Sure, a lot of it comes from the G8, but the 'Stang is an update to an existing chassis, is it not? I'm sure there are going to be buyers who don't care about loyalty and such, and it will be a shame to loose those buyers, but it is what it is. Allowing yourself to get worked up (and possibly working up more people here) isn't going to do a whole lot in terms of getting your car sooner. I can share your frustration, but Camaro's almost here

And I'm not frustrated by me not having a Camaro. Moreso, I'm frustrated that, if I were to tell my co-worker about the Mustang because she's interested, she'd probably fire back some snide remark about GM being late to the game again.

Sorry, still hideous in my eyes... Though I will give them that they made the front of the front quarter panel/side view of the headlights look cooler than it did for the previous model. But that's the only improvement, in my opinion... See below for what I mean.
