If you are considering modding the car SC'ing should be considered. If you decide to go the N/A path to achieving high hp numbers with Cam, Headwork, Headers, Intake, etc, etc, in the end you will most likely have pretty close to the same amount of money tied up. The nice thing about a SC setup is should you decide to sell you can always reverse the install and sell the SC kit for a good price. When going for internal mods for performance you are really hurting any future resale value of the car, and loosing all your mod money.

Only reason not to supercharge is money and everything related. Doing it to your daily driver may not be the best idea if you dont have another ride just in case. Like me for example. My car is down in need of repair and if it was my daily I would be up sh!t creek. Luckily its paid off and I dont depend on it because I have a daily driver. Other than those reasons there are no downsides..

The ONLY reason not to is money. Costs a pretty penny to get started. But man oh man is it worth it!! Even though it is expensive it's an awesome bang for the buck.
