The one dealer i stopped at told me they wanted a $5k deposit. i don't think this was right at all. I would say 1k would be fine, bc i would like to test drive it once it gets deliveried

Why do I think that way??? Because every freaking GM car in the last decade has had that nomenclature... Camaro, Cruze, Corvette... etc, etc, etc. why would this car be any different? If GM is loading everyone of them up... well thats just stupid and a mistake on their part. Maybe someone doesnt like leather or heated seats... maybe they dont want that alcantera everywhere... its a minor set of options that follows suit with the rest of the Camaro line...

I know, because FBodfather... who I respect and have met personally, and not just at mega car shows... says "very few options" now all of a sudden its gospel.

Its a bait tactic, he does it ALL THE TIME and thats what keeps his posts interesting... always making you wonder...

We will all know in a few weeks... like I said, maybe I am wrong, frankly I don't care what the car has, I am not buying one... don't want one.

I have a few folks that have been asking and I have been helping... i really don't mind helping at all, today has just been a stressful morning... and my previous comments were not directed at those folks... they know who they are.

frosted my cherrios pretty good this morning! But, as I said... stressful morning, not his (or anyone elses) fault...

I check for updates from my dealer daily... nothing today. i will be sure to let everyone know when I hear anything about options and what not. As of now, no one will know anything about availiability until the 24th...

my theory, and again just speculation.
I don't really think there are gonna be that many choices but of the following:
Your choice of wheels either polished or black
choice of auto or standard
Your choice of stripe or no stripe
Your choice of sun roof or no sun roof
You will have some (trim level) choice as to the suede, but I think will be only a matter of choosing if you want suede on your steering wheel, your shifter boot, and your dash.... and only these three areas. Either suede or leather in these three areas.
I think all Zl1 seats will have suede inserts with no other choice
Some cars are getting the option of the heritage grill.
I think it will be a choice on ZL1. Either heritage, or the egg crate grill. ( i think the new grill on the rally yellow will be either late in production or 2013)
Color choices:
Boy aint this a hard one?
Inferno Orange, Silver Ice Metallic, Black, Summit White, Rally Yellow,
Victory Red. Those 6 colors. I don't even think you are gonna be able to get IBM, or the new Crystal Red, or the New Ash Gray.
I think they will pull IBM, and leave Crystal Red and the New Ash for the 2013 CAMARO year.
I do think we will see the New Red and Ash gray on other GM chevy models though this year.
Thats it folks. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thats my opinion only and I am sticking to it.

I agree with most of your post, my personal feeling is it will be available in all colors except black granite. I do want to see the cgm replacement though.

....ok did a fast search. Black granite is a 2012 GM color for other models but nothing has been mentioned about it being on camaro.. looks like it is the same as what we call carbon flash...
just saying....

Lol, my bad. Black granite metallic is the color of my traverse (which I happen to be sitting in while the wife is in the fabric store), color is very, very similar to carbon flash.
I am quite sure black will be offered.

Glad someone took the time to look the code up. I have pretty good eyes still at even 48...hahaha...looked to be the same paint.. I think I was looking at a volt for comparison on this.
btw, what is the paint code for shits and giggles for carbon flash/black granite?
I did not mean to have a cow when black granite was mentioned, but you can tell I am not watching any other chevy car or researching any car except the ZL1 de El UNO de amighty way... I now my spanish sux but you get the general idea..
well...maybe a little lie there... i have researched the Gt500 some...

and... I won't repent on that research UNTIL i get my ZL1! HA!

I'll be honest I dont know but there are three or four colors with the same code. I was at a not so trusted dealer and debating with the salesman over a black granite Equinox ans a CFM Camaro... He had th look it up... His reply "all be darn... Same code"

. Ill see if I can find it, we have a black granite Envoy...
