Are There Any Lotto Veterans Amongst Us?

Any long term lottery players with decent amount of winnings?

I've been on the scratch cards for 5 years now, averaging one a week without enough success to warrant playing the lotto for much longer.

Anyone been lucky with lotto in the long term? There are a few lotto systems and strategies which _might_ help you win here: http://www.moreaboutwinninglottery.com/

Why, so you can find out who they are/where they live, and rob them?
Lol, just kidding... But the question did strike me as odd, perhaps because I wished I could say YES, but alas I have not :(

Scratch offs are like the casinos in Vegas. You win small here and there but the House always win!! I probably lost more money than I have won!! Just like anything in life, timing is everything!! The day I win big!! I am going to disappear!! LOL!!

I had excellent luck, noticed my waitress liked to play them, bought one and gave it to her as a tip. She won and asked me to buy more with the winnings, they won more than face value. Did that twice and same result. She bought my dinner and I got lucky.... I mean, I was fortunate...

That's my only experience with them. And it was good!

In my experience, the $1 and the $5 scratch offs really aren't worth playing long term. The odds of winning and the pay off vs cost on those are quite low. If you want to see any long term gains you need to jump up to at least the $20 cards. These cards hit big more often and the pay off vs cost is a lot higher.

I won 10k on powerball in july 08. would have been 30k if I did powerplay. I gave 5 bucks to our outside sales girl and she bought the tickets in a small town. gave her 1k for buying the tickets. I told her to buy herself something nice. so she bought carpet for her house. haha

The lottery is a regrissive tax. The odds arent there. You would be better to buy into church raffles and local fund raisers. You have a better chance of getting hitby lighting 6 times then you do winning the lottery.

By the way I have won over 75 guns from local raffles and Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. Turned those into cash.

Yeah if you're waiting to hit the lottery then you'll be waiting forever. I just say as long as you're happy then money shouldn't be an issue. That gets me by as I cry myself.to sleep.

A few years ago my office lotto pool won 100,000. If only the number 16 had come up on that powerball we would have been looking at 196 million.... so, back to work :(

Yep. My dad plays these and hits $100's all the time, and a few $1000's.
