New 2014 BRM ZL1 & quick intro - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am a little late to the party…. But now a proud owner of a new 2014 ZL1 Blue Ray Metallic M6 with Recaros. The ZL1 replaces my DD ‘11 BMW 550i with Dinan Stage 5.

I jumped in on the end of year 20% off deal late… so finding what I was looking for in Florida was a problem and I ended up going out of state. (Capitol Chevrolet in AL).

I really wanted the M6 and Recaros, BRM was not my first color choice, but I really like this color – most photos I’ve seen don’t do BRM justice.

The ZL1 is not my first 5th Gen, I am fortunate enough to also have a 2011 Berger SS. Also a 67 pro-touring build in progress, 69 RS/SS with a fresh 496 (631 HP), “like new” low mileage 89 IROC and 2002 35th Anniversary Edition with 645 miles.

I do all of my own wrenching and have a small shop in Tampa, FL.

Just now getting some seat time with about 500 miles so far – this car is a blast to drive. If I am not here, your will find me over at Camaros.net talking first gens.

Congratulations and beautiful color. Makes me miss my IBM SS I traded my Z in for.

Any pics of he 550i? Why did you decide to trade in the 550? I bet it was a monster with the stage 5

How do you like the ZL1 compared to the Berger? I would think that it is hands down better than Berger for less money.

I traded my BRM V6 in for my VR ZL1.

The BRM is a awesome color. You have to see it in person to appreciate it.
