Put the car on jackstands. Remove the front wheels. Place a jack with a foot long 2x4 or similar on top of it centered across the oil pan. Break loose and remove both the top nut into the pedestal and the bottom nut into the frame. Jack up slowly on the engine, you will get about 3-4" before transmission contacts the tunnel, stop here. Loosen and remove pedestal bolts. Slide pedestal up the block, off the motor mount. Remove motor mount from car. Slide new one in place top of mount in the pedestal and the bottom into the hole in the frame. Ensure the mount is centered and located properly( Prothane mounts had a dowel pin) and tighten down the bolts.

I think it took me a few hours, the only thing I required a second set of hands for was torqueing the top bolts on the motor mounts. Also if you have headers you will have to loosen the driver side header and roll it away from the block to get access to the pedestal bolts.

Wow thanks! Did you replace yours because they broke, became loose or what?

Probably just wanted aftermarket ones.

I have 2" headers and I didn't have to take them off to install the engine mounts (Pfadt). I used a couple of really long extensions along with a swivel to get to the top nuts. It is tight but can be done.

I just wanted the aftermarket ones is why I changed mine out.

I installed prothane mounts to tighten up some of the back and forth motion. As far as the headers it all depends on the bend of the headers. I have ARH 1 7/8" and there was absolutely no clearance, not even for a short socket let alone a swivel.
