Anyone with AC noise new bulletin out.
Went to Chevrolet this morning and apparently there is a new bulletin out about the AC whistling noise. They told me they installed a one way valve in the AC or heat line not sure which but the noise is totally gone. finally!

Well I haven't seen any bulletin or PI issued by GM for a "whistle" noise. The bulletin I think he's refering to is the one for the valve that they have been installing in the heater hose for a gurgle/rattle noise. That bulletins been out for a while now.

I have the whistle noise that I hear from my driver side air vent. I don't know if it also comes from my passenger side air vent because I haven't been a passanger in my car yet while it's driving.
I generally hear the noise when it's quiet outside, usually late at night. My car has made this noise for a couple of months now. I haven't been to the dealer for it, though. |

Yeah I have that saem situation as well, thought it was just me and it kinda drives me a little nuts at times. I usually just went ahead and turned up the music so I wouldn't focus on it that much but since they are fixing the situation I'm gonna hit it up.

Is this a noise ya'll hear with the interior fan on? I have a squealing fan at low speeds that drives me a little nuts after being in the car all day, and its from the pass. side... but its not a whistling sound.. If I could get them to do it all at the same time, I wouldn't need a radio!

My A/C does the high pitched whistling/squeaking noise whenever the fan's on, but only sometimes. It's directly correlated with the speed of the fan (and is most noticeable at lower fan speeds), so I assume it's a bearing or something just squeaking.

Mine is a high-pitched electrical sound, which can be heard at the lowest fan speed. At a medium or high fan speed, I think the sound gets covered up by sound of the blasting air.
It's just sounds electrical, but not really a whistling made by airflow. It's constant whenever the fan is on low setting. Could it be a resistor or what? The dealer said they all do this. Going back for a second try this week. |
