I went against a mustang cobra manual 5.0 I believe late 90's early looking 00' had cai an exhaust work judging bbk by his sticker lol. That's all I could figure out by just looking. Anyways short an to the point I had cai and trifecta tune in sport mode. Close but got the jump an slowly turned a half car link to car n half! so I say you from experience.

2v's are dig cars, they are slow from a roll. He will get you if he hooks, your best bet would be a roll race! Good luck! |

There was no 5.0 in 99. Driver's race vs. a 99 GT in a lightly modded V6. A Cobra of any year will beat you.

Yea 99 was the first 260 hp 4.62v, big difference between a 99 and a 98.

99 Mustang GT should have a slight edge. In a 1999 MT review, a 1999 GT did 14.0@100mph. The 4.6L 2v may have only had 260 hp, but it had about 300 ft-lbs of torque, and only weighed around 3250.

It is awful from most rolls and has no top end.....but it is a great cruiser and a killer stop light car.

Makes sense, the SN95 5.0's are turds........ 15.9 seconds stock with good driver and manual, 15.5 with some bolt ons and driver mod.
Full bolt ons(headers/cai/exhaust/etc.) they put down 180-190 whp. |

You'll kill it.
If it was the 99 - 04 model then it would be more of a drivers race with advantage to it from a dig, but you from a roll.
