it all depends on what exactly you want to do. the factory intakes actually work very well for boosted applications.
or you can cut up your car alil bit and do something like we did with this twin turbo camaro. of course then you need a hood to allow it all to fit . Last edited by Matt@510; 12-27-2013 at 03:11 PM. |

Exactly....depends on the heads, the amount of boost, the RPM range of the cam......
To many factors to say 'what intake is best'. In many cases the stock intake will have more than enough room to make 600-800 rwhp with a bit of forced induction to it. One draw back with the factory or the FAST, is the fact they are plastic so in very high boost, or even in some nitrous applications you run the risk of the intake manifold either leaking at high boost, or coming apart completely. |

Be very cautious of "ported" intakes. Porting does not increase flow on these intakes. Rick modifies his intakes to increase flow, but the increased flow is not from porting. Whichever one you choose ask to see flow bench numbers...if they don't have any I'd skip it. There's a reason that so many places port these intakes and none post before and after flow numbers. Either they have flowed their intakes and they realized that all they did was hurt performance, Or they are just blindly porting and have no idea if what they are doing is actually creating any kind of benefit. Neither of those two above scenarios are worth spending money on. I can't comment on Rhinos intakes, but I know Ricks intakes are proven on a flow bench.

BER sent their intake manifold in to be tested against the FAST intake manifold several years ago. No other intake manifold porter did except for them. And their porting offered gains almost close to what the FAST offered. The testing and dynos are all on this forum matter of fact.

so im assuming they have flow bench results? I searched and couldnt find any results Not really interested in dyno numbers, just flow numbers..if you could post a link to their results i would like to see them as im always all ears to different mods.
