My New General G Max's

Just bought my General G Max all season set. Just had about 15,000 miles and the stock pirelli p zeros were shot. I got 275/40/20, square setup on 20x9 rims. The square setup seems like it handles better, like the front dives in better around corners. It also look more aggressive than i thought! Will be selling the front stock pirellis if any one is interested. Got them for $750 ($190 each) and installed plus taxes total of $900, which i thought was a great price.

gotta clean my rims badly

That is my next tire, do you notice that they are a little narrower than the Pirelli's?

(the rears are supposed to be 1/2 inch narrower, but the fronts wider....)

Nice! I love my General Gmax! I too went with a square setup of 275/40/20 but on 20x10s

Seems like a lot of people like the Generals. I just put them on my Car to the Gmax. I did a 1 inch drop. Have had the car on Watkins Glen road course at least 10 times with the pzero. One time with the generals the car rides much smoother & handles a lot better on the track. Just my opinion.

So these are actually a pretty decent tire? I've read a number of reviews that say they're too loud and don't necessarily last long or offer any performance increase. I'm interested to hear more.

If you read KjKjr & my opinion We both have used them on Watkins Glen Road Course. he runs a V6 & I v8 both modified. I don't know about Kj but I think the tires are very quiet in my opinion. Even with out burning the tires. Your not going to get high mileage on a soft rubber tire. My P-zeros I got 19,000 miles. I probably could have gotten maybe a couple more thousand out of them. And I have never had the traction control off 2 burn them. Just another my own opinion.
And I run the box set up to. 275/40/20 0n 20x10 106 wide.

yeah a lot of us here run, Gmax's I've never had problems with them. And no increase in noticeable noise.

I have 15,000 miles on mine currently and still holding good (only got 16k out of the pzeros)

Haha that time at Watkins Glen I had my back seat out so I heard a lot of crap! But daily driving I don't hear them at all. I only hear the slight drone from my exhaust. When I was looking into them I heard they lasted longer than the Pzero's. I have about 10k miles on mine give or take and there is still plenty of thread left on them.
