OK, glad others are wondering about that too. Though I can tend to believe Dragoneye's explanation.

That last pic is pure sex. I never thought a V6 camaro could look so good. This pics keep messing me up. Now I'm considering a red SS.

Man, wouldn't it be awesome if GM decided to surprise and delight us if that was the laser for laser guided cruise control and pre-collision safety (senses as vehicle approaches object at high rate of speed, begins begins to apply brakes and then pre-tensions all seatbelts before impact)?

One of these days, we'll see GM think outside the box on something like this

It might be a wind gage monitor that determines how fast the fan cools the engine? A horn is a good guess.

Hey, why no floormats in the red Camaro?? It is starting to get dirty...

They need to make a stop over at weathertech so they can make molded floor mats so they can be available at release.

Sounds dreadful.

I think it probably is the dimple shown in that frame pic. Otherwise, considering its placement, it's probably a thermometer for the outside temperature display; other vehicles keep them in similar places.

Those are floormats, if you look closely you can see the edges. They must be molded exceptionally well, since they're so hard to see. The rubber insert in the driver's heel area is a great touch, it will add years to the life of the mats.
