Tire recomendations

hey everyone, I have a 1LT with the RS package (20" wheels). I have about 17,500 miles on my camaro and the tires are getting REALLY close to needing replaced. I like the P-Zero's, they're a great tire but was thinking about looking for something with a little harder compound that i can get a little more mileage out of. I know that I'll lose some "grip" in the corners but I'm not a real aggressive driver, I don't usually slam it into the corners. If I feel the need for speed it's usually just straight on.
Anyway, does anyone have any recomendations for a good tire, maybe a little harder compound and if at all possible a little cheaper would even be nice (not holding my breath on that one though...LOL). Also, I've heard that the price of the P-zero's has come down some, anyone know what they're selling for now?
thanks in advance

hmmmm, no input on this huh? Well I did find a "Yokohama parada spec-x" that is a little cheaper, $179.00 per tire front and rear, comparing it to the p-zeros it looked pretty good. I know that Yokohamas are good tires, had them years back on a lowered truck I had. Anyone know anything about this particular tire?

well if you're staying with the stock sizes, I've also heard good reviews about the Hankook Ventus V-12 evo. There are others out there as well, I use tirerack and discount tire direct to see what specs/research/reviews etc....

Check out Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I believe they have like a 540 treadwear rating, which is the highest I've ever seen on a 20" tire. I will be buying these when my Pirelli's wear out. Very good reviews on these (except for one person!).

If you are running the factory sizes, look into the Toyo Proxes4. It is all-season and W-Rated.

Generals

Get these:

General G-Max AS-03 Tires

If you are a daily driver like me, they are supposed to be good in the rain too.

They are new to the market and with an intro price too (check Tire Rack)

Let me know if you buy'em, I am REAL close to needing a fresh set.

Give our website a check for pricing on the Pirellis. As mentioned Continental DWS or the new General GMax would be longer wearing options.
