Look what I found hiding in IRAQ

I spend a lot of time on the streets of a few different Middle Eastern and African cities. I've seen a couple dozen Camaro's in the UAE, mainly Dubai. One in Turkey, and a couple in Jordan. But the country I most frequently see them on the road second to UAE is definitely Iraq! Usually I am too busy when we are a security detail to stop and take a picture, but today I while doing a site survey I passed by this Camaro and had to stop and get a picture. Not a ZL1, but as a ZL1 owner just thought you all would enjoy knowing Camaro's are driven hard all over. If I get a chance to take pics of any other Camaro's in interesting places, without giving away operational security, I will.

Thank you for sharing. I never would have thought there are Camaros there.

Thank you also for serving!

You see a lot of Tahoe, Suburban, and small vehicles mainly found in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. But sometimes, very rarely, I spot a Camaro! Makes me a little jealous, wish I was in mine, but still cool to see. And you're very welcome, my honor.

that Camaro looks so out-of-place. sad , but it doesn't seem to make sense to try to own anything nice in a place that is so destroyed. It probably wont be long before that car is trashed along with everything else.

The environment and driving conditions in this country are HARSH! There are no traffic rules except drive on the right side of the street. There are car dealerships, but maintenance shops are make shift hole in the walls that do hodge podge repairs. Looks like this Camaro had a Kuwait license plate, but they arent much better there either. Odd thing is, I consistently see 20 year old Chevy trucks, Suburbans, etc out here, rusted out and falling apart but still being driven!

When I was there in 2012, I saw a couple 3rd gen camaros. One has a big block and does insane burn outs.

Good thing it's sporting the low-vis wheels. Helps deter the RPGs. :-)
