Possibly a new recall (update: not a recall)

UPDATE: * NOT A RECALL *

took my car to my dealer for my 2nd oil change and service this morning.
and they are trying to fix the rattling noise I experience at high speed and the random pops up of the "service airbag" light.

just got a surprise call from them, they told me there is a recall on my car.
I'm going to leave my car there overnight, hopefully I'll be able drive my car again tomorrow morning.

will let you guys know what the recall is all about.
maybe it is just the HVAC reprogramming.

damn, i miss my Camaro.

will keep you posted !

I bet it is just the HVAC programming update, loose spoiler nuts, and Engine Harness/Heater Hose clamp reposition....All 3 in one TSB 09207A

A "recall" is different from a "Technical Service Bulletin" (TSB).

Let us know what the airbag light fix is.

I don't think I could have brought my car to the dealership, not knowing what they were doing to it. My first question would have been "What is the recall for, and what are you going to do to my car concerning this recall?"
I doubt this is a "recall" or there would have been more news about it here.

Perhaps the FWD transaxle is interfering with the airbag?

I heard that the flux capacitor was interfering with the warp coil, preventing transformations at less than 155mph. The recall involves a tech reconfiguring the rear sensor array's wiring harness to avoid an accidental short. Should be easy enough.

right on! I picked up my car today, and it is about the HVAC program update.
the reason they take so long because they don't have the latest software for 2010 vehicles yet.

sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There is a difference between a "Recall" and a "TSB". It's helpful to use the proper terminology to avoid unnecessary panic.

I totally agree but perhaps the "recall" word was the word used by the dealer service person when the OP spoke to him.
Anyway, a recall doesn't always mean a bad thing. There are silent recalls that is not publicized and you find out when you take your car in and the dealer punches in your VIN and something shows up that must be done. They can be guised as TSB.
