What exactly is a non-fouler?

Ok I know that a non-fouler is used to trick your ECM into thinking your O2 sensor is reading correct if you've modified your exhaust. But I have never actualy seen one. Is it a spacer that you thread into the O2 sensor bung to pull the sensor out of the exhaust stream a little, or is it a resister of sorts that plugs in between the sensor and the wiring harness. Does any one have any pics of one, or can someone explain how they work. My CEL just came on and I'm exploring my options. I'm not ready for a tune yet.

I believe you are thinking of an o2 simulator. Which is used to trick the ECM in to thinking either the rear O2 is there if it has been "lost" for some reason....or to make the ECM thinking the rear o2 is operating within normal bounds when it is not

They are like $4 at autozone, but I can save you the trouble and let you know they don't work for our cars.

What mods do you have?

Here's a quick read on what a o2 simulator is. (BTW not advocating their products)

You can build one yourself if you are into electronics.
