will the richmond 3.55 ring and pinion gears for the 2010 v6 camaro fit in the 2012?

I have a 2012 V6 2LS with the 2.92 gears in the differential. I've found a 3.55 ring and pinion set from richmond gear and I want to know if it will fit in the differential.

here is a link to the ring and pinion set.

Yes it will fit. If you have low miles on your car a 1/2 install kit should do.

You will love the perf. improvement the lower gearing provides. Keep in mind your speedometer will need corrected. Best way to do that would be a Trifecta tune and improve your car's "oomph" even more!

Let us know how it turns out!

Thanks for the info. Instead of a Trifecta tune, I'm going to buy the EFI Live FlashScan. My brother-in-law currently uses HP Tuner, but, according to their site, it does not have support for the new LFX engine yet; EFI live does.

I plan on doing other modifications over time. With a Trifecta tune costing $340-$400 per tune, and the EFI Live FlashScan costing $900 once, it seems more economical to get the FlashScan. While this wouldn't be an option for someone who doesn't know how to tune the car's computer, I fortunately know someone who can program it for me, and I plan on learning how to do it myself in the process.

I don't mean to be mean or call you out or anything but your wrong. The trifecta tune is 400 dollars and its a one time fee for every subsequent tune unless you need major changes. Major changes would include Forced Induction tunes or E85 tuning.

Not saying to not get EFI Live because I would love an option like that for the 2011 but just making sure you don't make a decision based on faulty information
