I rented an SS a while back that looked exactly like mine inside/out.

The power was there when you needed it but I felt like "Is this what the hype is about???" When I didn't romp on it, it drove just like my LT. I assume it had 87 in it and/or needed a fuse pull. But I forgot I had a V8 in it after a few hours. I romped it up a hill every once in a while and it does bolt. But I though "When am I going to do this?" When I got in my LT, I didn't feel any super loss of power. Perhaps its because the SS A6 low end torque didn't feel huge.

So I see what everyone means. They are different beasts. Corvette is more fun but I did feel safe in the SS as it doesn't have rattles. Visibility is more in the Vette of course. So I'd pick a vette and a lease 2nd car.

My dealer just offer me a 2013 Z06 for sticker minus $2000 rebate and $3000 GM card money and they are giving me $33,000 for mine with 18,000 miles. I'm trying to decide what color to get and what options. I'm going to miss my Camaro but now I get to start all the modding again.
Your dealer isn't doing you any favors with that pricing. Go over to www.corvetteforum.com & click on the "dealers" tab. They are offering new 2013 Z06's for $12k+ off sticker.

the new C7 may leave a lot of camaro owners thinking twice about keeping their camaro. As for the LS2 vs SS debate stock for stock the C6 LS2(400hp 05-07)cars feel faster and handle/brake much better than the camaro. It would smoke it on a road course. +1 for loving the muscle car look of the camaro over the old-man C6 look.

When the c7's start hitting the road you'll be able to get c6's for nothing. I couldn't possibly imagine being in the market for a corvette right now and not either waiting to buy the new one or waiting until it comes out to buy a cheap old one. The c6 looks good but in comparison to the c7 it sucks.

I did, but I sold both of them and ordered a new Stingray. Patiently waiting to take delivery.

I hope so. I still want a C6 but I wouldn't think of getting a C5 corvette. I'd rather keep my car.

I have a C6 Zo6 (modified) a c6 coupe and a 2010 ss, hands down the c6 is better all around, it was not until I strapped a d1 on the ss with a few other mods that the vettes started to respect her , lol
