I'm an IT tech as well. However, I used to be a mechanic in high school and college. My username is my first name - Mikel. 441 is for Chevy 441 cylinder heads. The very first pair of heads I ported to use in my old Camaro. They flowed very well when I was done.

Mine ought to be pretty self explanatory.....The car is one killer SS....I wanted to use the SS and I always thought the Camaro was a killer car. Sorry the story is not very cool.

See, there's this little downstairs bar on Beacon Street in Boston I'd been in once or twice, a few years before they made a TV show about a watering hole in Boston where one of the regular characters sat at the corner of the bar . . .
So I guess you could say I've been borrowing my own name back. Norm

OK honesty time.
I had to take 'Chris Blair'. Somebody had already taken "Norm Peterson".

Commits weekly crime
|
Steve Dallas is a pseudonym I've used since the days of BBS's and 300 baud modems.
The name is based on a character in a comic strip that I've loved since the early 80's. Bloom County & Outland were comic strips written by Berke Breathed. He hadn't been doing any strips until this last year when he started doing it again on Facebook. Here's a link to his page. And, here is one showing who Steve Dallas is:

Norm...you would be SOOOOOOOO CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!! I feel that Dead Heads are unfairly stereotyped and even stopped ...A LOT. So this is my subtle tribute. I mean really you wouldn't know what my plates mean UNLESS you know who Bob Weir is and his GD connection.

I always love reading how people came up with their screen names. Like the modifications people do to their car everything is unique and personal.
For me there are 2 Jeff's where I work. The other Jeff at the time was in the IT department and I was in the music department and play in a band so to differentiate there was IT Jeff and Rock n Roll Jeff. To be as cool as possible I changed the ff to ph because rock n roll and rebellion and all of that. Well my drummer thinks it's funny to call me Jephanie now and wrote that over some of my gear.... I didn't mind. |

I was enjoying a bottle of Molson Brador beer when I created my account. Very mysterious.

MIM is for Manufacturing Integration Manager (for the gen 5 Camaro team) and ZL1 for my favorite Camaro I worked on. Also I was very lucky the buy the 2014 model year VIN 9800001.
