iPhone 3.1 firmware doesn't like the Camaro - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I upgraded my iPhone to firmware 3.1. iPhone is fine, but now my stereo in my Camaro won't recognize it properly. When I search by artist, for example click on ZZ Top, it shows the albums for Coldplay. Click on Kid Rock, it shows the albums for the Clash.

It's all jumbled up. Anybody else upgrade and have issues?

Been fine for me. Maybe wipe the phone and reload the ipw?

Mines been fine and I downloaded 3.1 the day it was released.

I had similar problems (not exactly but similar) when I installed 3.0. I found that if I hit the back button on the stereo and then returned to the menu I was in, it would usually be fixed. Maybe that will work for you.

I installed 3.1 over the weekend and haven't driven my car since...I am hoping it will be better and not worse!

Shoulda stayed with a jailbroken 3.0 like I did ; )

3.1 sucks for me, It works in the car but not all of my playlists show up and the phone will just freeze up on me, I have to press the power button and the menu button for 5 seconds to restart it so I can see my screen again... I feel a 3.1.1 or 3.2 coming soon...

3.1 totally wrecked my phone gets random shut downs and have to hard reset it to make it come back on and car wont even pick up on it should be a new update around the 25th when they release multimedia texts.. hope this one fixes it.

You can always go back to the original software. Even if the Jail Break fails you can just load up the default OS and its party on again. Jail break was cool for a while but it was sucking my battery dry. I am going to get the GS and try it again.

yikes good thing i was reading this while the updating was only downloading im heading to ann arbor in 3 hours and it would suck if i actually had to listen to the radio!!

There's not going to be an update on the 25th. When you plug your iPhone in to iTunes it will just pop up saying "There has been a Carrier update, would you like to proceed?" or something along those lines, it's just a small 30kb~ file that doesn't do anything to the phone really.

well thats hard to believe cuz a bunch of people have had this issue and i called apple yesterday and they said they are going to try and fix it on the 25th update..

Anyone seeing this issue now with the latest iPhone update? The menus are a mess: go in by artist, select an artist and the available albums are [artist name] [some other artists name] and the songs under those "albums" are totally random.
