Does anyone know what is the bore size between the V6 master cylinder and the SS master cylinder? or should I upgrade my Brake system and leave the Master Cylinder from the V6 as is?

Swapping the MC will make a pretty big difference because of the piston size compared to the V6 one.

Did it myself. Was very happy i did.

I got the complete CTS V brake upgrade on my LT and it was highky recommended that I upgrade the MC.

I ran the brembos with my V6 master cylinder for a long time before putting the SS master on. It worked fine both ways. I can't say I felt a whole lot of differemce between the two but I'm not that hard on the brakes really. I don't do any autoX or road course just the the drag strip and daily driving. I feel better having the right master cylinder on now but it's not really a night and day difference.

Been running the stock MC since Jan 2010 when I did my upgrade no issues in 6 years and 70k miles.

I appreciate the feed back guys, really helped me making a decision into changing the MC for the one on the SS just to be on the safe side since it wouldn't hurt and is not that expensive.

There isnt an issue running the factory one at all. You will just get better performance out of the SS one.

First of let me say hello to the forum, I'm new but I want to upgrade my exhaust to flowmasters or Borla. I've heard Borla's are a little deeper in sound, I'm also changing to JBA headers. Any thoughts?

I agree. I noticed a huge difference when I upgraded to the SS m/c. There is a reason GM includes it in there v6 upgrade kit.

Then i would suggest getting the SS MC. Since I'm starting to track my car and got the CTS V brake setup, as i said before they were recommending me do it since I'm tracking my car. But if you dont plan on doing it for a while, you may be just fine with the stock one you have as others have mentioned. Just my 2 cents. Either way, happy modding.
