I think Magnaflow has a system for it, and I'm sure there are others; they leave my mind right now though (stupid whiskey...).

It's said the transitions in AFM can make some unpleasant in-cabin noise, but I'm sure that's subjective, and also why the OEM exhaust is so conservative. I recommend having a look at the Sticky of exhaust clips, found in this Section (and also featured on the Home Page) for some samples. They don't do the cars justice, opposed to real life, but they might give you and idea. Also, do some searching and perhaps reach out to guys in your area whom might give you a sample of what they have on their cars.

Good luck.

because the stock exhaust is so restrictive on the l99 wouldn't that result in a gain of hp. unlike the ls3 with no gain because their exhaust is pretty much free-flowing?

Good question.. not sure there is a good answer. Any catback will provide the AFM issue.

I thought I wouldn't want AFM turned off.. I though "Pffftt.. I can live with that". WRONG!!!! Tuner will be ordered this weekend.

You will need to get a handheld tuner to do it yourself, or go to a speed shop.

GM so thoughtfully reasoned we would completly love AFM, they didn't provide a switch, toggle, or any friendly way to turn it off. It will void your powertrain warrenty also. (At least your engine)

Worst thing about the new Camaro........AFM

Eh, I got cherry bomb cat back great sound relatively cheap. There's drone when AFM kicks on but nothing the tunring the radio up a little won't take care of.

I have the Cherry Bomb exhaust and I haven't had a problem with the AFM. The exhaust sounds great all the time.

If you drive your car the right way, you'll never notice AFM because it won't kick in.
