Got my first dent...

So came out to the car today and noticed a little ding on the front drivers side fender flare. Looks like a little paint missing. Not a huge deal, fixable.

The worst part is that there were smudges on there where someone had licked their thumb and tried to rub out the damage. They didn't bother to leave a note, but were at least kind enough to try to repair it :P

Oh well, it's a DD and I can get some PDR done. Been needing it for some hail spots on the hood anyway. Anybody know a guy in Dallas?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

Update: pics. You can see the smudges in some of them. I should get DNA Notice how weird of a spot it's in. It's not on the outer part of the flare, it's more inside and high. SUV I guess?

Sorry to hear this happen to your ride, maybe a PDR forum might have someone in your area.

That sucks... at least it wasn't major. Drives me crazy that people don't leave notes.... I can't imagine tapping someones car and bailing.

CD07, we'll have to add that to our detailing tool box of fixes. Wet thumb. Too bad we can't thank the jackwagon who did yours personally for the tip!

I just contacted DentGeeks. They were recommended in another thread in the Texas forum, so I sent them some pics. Just waiting to hear back.

Same thing happened to my rear quarter. Right in the same area height wise. Someone at Home Depot pulled up to it, opened their door and hit it, then moved their car. What the hell is wrong with people.... Mine took paint off. So I'm gonna touch it up, wetsand it, then get PDR. This happened right before winter so I didn't bother with it. I have unlimited PDR for 5 years.

CamaroDreams...I'm sorry that your car got dinged. I have several dings in my car, and most recently, I noticed that "somebody" did some damage to the rear of my car, right below the license plate area. Nothing too big, but it still hurts. So...

I know that feel bro

Thanks everyone. I'm not sweating it really. I can either get pissed off or I can take it in stride. At the end of the day, I'm in the same situation either way. Its a quarter sized ding, my car's been through worse and come out perfect.

But on a serious note yeah that sucks. Especially to a car that is detailed and looks good all the time. But it will be back to perfection soon
