Bluetooth Gremlins?

So on my first night with #7755 I was able to pair up my bluetooth to my verizon lg voyager and use it with minimal aggravation. Before I shut her down on the first night I had an issue with both an outgoing and incoming call coming in and then immediately being kicked into private call. A minor annoyance that I chalked up to user error.

Today the 'issue' has once again reared its ugly head. So much so I'm at the point where I'm almost ready to rule out user error though readily concede that still could be a distinct possibility. Every call whether outgoing or incoming connects briefly and then is routed to the handset for private call mode. An attempt to get it to switch back is unsuccessful. So to was deleting the bluetooth connection and repairing.

Any thoughts? I'm wondering if there's other troubleshooting I can attempt. Anything to avoid having to take her back to the dealership already.

I would say take your phone to verizon and see if there's a firmware update available for it. Just as likely that the problem is on your phone's side of things.

Not a bad thought. I could probably stand to have it updated anyway as I haven't since I got it.

My Sprint phone has done it a couple times, as well as when listening to music it will skip at times. I find it is with certain file types, and not the actual unit. I change songs and it has no problems.

i would say its the phone not the car, so i would check the security settings first then look into both manuals, and if you can get it then check to see if your phone has a update, or a different phone(just to test), then finally the dealer

but i don't have the car, so i can't really test my theories lol

Good input. It's hit or miss. Sometimes an issue sometimes not so it's just a mild annoyance at this stage. I plan on going to Verizon today to get a firmware update as there does appear to be one available for my phone.

It's the phone. I had all kinds of issues with bluetooth my LG Voyager from Verizon (the original Voyager, pre-Titanium). Figured the bluetooth on the phone was garbage and I gave up. After the Titanium came out I had Verizon upgrade the software on my phone to match (wanted Rhapsody subscription capability) and found that pretty much all of my bluetooth issues cleared up.

Yeah--knock on wood--that appears to be the case so far. Like I said it was hit or miss but I definitely needed to update my phone. They said they were upgrading at least two versions and to come back in a few hours. So far so good. Of course, now my vcast tv isn't working so I have to go back and have them fix that. It's always somethin!

Glad to hear it was the phone. Much easier to replace!

So far I have had no trouble at all with the bluetooth connection and have been very happy.

i would also look up reviews and such on the headset. There may be a fault in the unit itself.

Update .. was a firmware issue with the iPhone. I had an older firmware in there because I was jailbroken so I could run my Camaro Lockscreen and some themes. I upgraded to the new firmware and bluetooth works as expected.

Glad to hear it. Mine too was obviously a firmware issue as well. Since upgrading I haven't had any repeat issues.
