Pic of MGW shifter with Retro Ball Knob

anyone have a pic of a MGW shifter with either the retro white ball or black ball that they can post? i have been on their website and can see how the shifter shifts but want to gage shifter height. the barton and hurst seem really high to me so i want to see where MGW falls in terms of height.

MGW Retro Ball

I installed the Retro Shifter handle a few days ago.
Install was very easy and the Retro Shift shaft is well
made. I also liked the white knob with the Camaro logo,
but decided to try the Retro Shaft and knob. The attached
pictures show the height relationship between the 2 knobs
and the factory knob. The taller knob definately feels better
when I shift. It's the leverage, I suppose. Hope this helps.
I have a white Hurst logo ball that also fits and looks sharp.
btw- MGW customer service is very good.

Awesome pics. Is the first handle pictured the regular MGW lever? I thought the retro was a short throw shifter as well but I guess not, it seems way too high for my liking.

The first pic is just a handle and ball from MGW. It fits over the stock shifter shaft and is secured by set screws. The cue ball DOES NOT unscrew from the shaft and therefore NO WAY to change cue balls. :( :(
See this link for more info:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ght=shift+knob

The Retro shifter is tapered more and it is definately taller than the previously mentioned handle. It also slips over the factory shaft and is also secured by set screws. The shaft on the Retro knob IS threaded with
a 12mm x 1.75 threads. The white HURST shifter ball has this thread pattern and actually fits a Mustang. FYI- the Hurst ball is # 163 0060
if anyone is interested.

Be advised these are just handles period.

we have 2 versions....

the one pictured requires ZERO mods to the oem handle so it has to sit a little higher.

the second option sits same as stock but you have to cut the top half of the handle off...like this pic...

Thanks for the info George, and everyone else. What is the height with the retro knob and your complete shifter? Shorter then stock? Thanks, Kevin
