To sunroof or not to sunroof
I was wondering what the general consensus, of just your opinion on having a sunroof. On the one hand, I like having the option of a sunroof as it really opens up the cabin, but on the other, I think a muscle car looks better without one.
Would appreciate any side by side shots showing one with a sunroof, and one without. FTR....I am a year aways from buying a camaro :'( |

I like the look of the sun roof from inside the car, but It takes away the lines of the car from the roof. I opted not to get it because I felt the styling was more important than a little extra light in the car.

The one at the dealer I checked out, did not have a sunroof. It looked perfect. I have a feeling when purchase-time comes around, I will opt to go sunroofless. BTW Newagemuscle, is that camaro in your Avatar what you are rocking?
Those are the colours I am after. A rally yellow 2ss with black stripes and the RS package. |

Soon you will have to ask if you should buy a sunroof or a convertible. Good questions to be able to ask I think.

reverse mohawk
for me, the reverse mohawk in the roof was too important to the overall look. and no regrets since picking her up two weeks ago. more than enough fresh air comes in through those extra wide windows when the weather is fine and there is any kind of a breeze. and the closed cabin feel is just right for what you are driving.
enjoy her, whichever way you choose to go. |

If the sunroof slid back into the roof I might have considered it but I think it looks cheap with the sunroof out over the roof. Plus,I like the look of the reverse mohawk.

I have a sunroof on mine and wished I would have saved the $900 and not purchased this option.
I would have used the money for painted stripes. The lack of headroom is annoying |

I am happy with my sun roof. At 5' 7" I have enough headroom.
It is what ever you like more. ED |

2 cents
I have a sunroof but wish i did not. I had not choice though. The only car they had in the color I wanted had a sunroof. Never use it but color won out. Could have gone to other dealer but this one was willing to deal where others wanted sticker price

I love my sun roof.
Nothing wrong with having a smooth looking roof on the Camaro. The 'reverse mohawk' thing is no big deal to me. |

It's 50-50, really. Think function or form. I love the sunroof and use it everyday. But I also think it fits the style of my car (white, V6, no RS package). People have commented that my car looks smooth. But with the SS and/or RS, and in the bold colors, I think the reverse mohawk looks better. It's really on you. This is a hot-button issue, along with V6-V8 and manual-auto.
