Feedback from those that have MBRP & LS3
I'm torn on the exhaust I want to go with. Right now the top of my list is MBRP but the $1,200 (to my door) price kind of hurts. I'm also considering the SOLO Mach X because is sounds pretty good as well and it's almost 1/2 the cost. Now grant you they are not comparing Apples to Apples. The MBRP is 3" T-304 all the way through with some mufflers, an X-Pipe, and 4" tips (which I prefer that size). The SOLO is 2.5" T-409 without mufflers but an an X-Pipe and 4.5" (which are just ever so slightly large in my opinion).
Of course both claim their systems are the best. MBRP says 3" makes more power...SOLO says 2.5" makes better power. I don't know that I need T-304 since I live in TX, this will be a daily driver, and I don't plan on showing the underside of my car. So I feel like paying the extra money for T-304 is a waste of money for me. Yes...I can get T-304 but that's only a $100 savings. So...those with the MBRP and LS3 can you give me some feedback (positive or negative). If money wasn't an issue then I would say MBRP but for almost 1/2 the price the SOLO sure seems like a good price for the what it is. I just don't know... Anyone have any feedback on any of these issues to help me make my decision? Can someone help me decide if T-304 is a waste of my money...even if it's only $100?

Just had my MBRP done by BMC performance off their group buy. I am really happy with it so far. Looks great and sounds awesome. The car is loving it, doesn't even feel like the same car. Went with the 304 few extra bucks but a better quality.
What they said Below: 304 I screwed that up.

Not sure they want me yapping about pricing but lets say it was lower than the lowest price I could find.

I promise you RPM is way cheaper than anything you will find. Look in the vendor forum For mY thread about rpm.

MBRP is an awesome setup. You can get the t409 kit for just over 900 shipped. I get nothing but compliments from guys that run corsa, borla, magnaflow, ect.. all the time. It's just the right sound. I'm about to get some videos of my car on the dyno and at the track today.

Just so this post is accurate the 304 stainless is the higher grade part.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stainless_steel About halfway down the wiki page there is a list of grades. "Type 304—the most common grade; the classic 18/8 stainless steel. Also referred to as "A2" in accordance with ISO 3506." "Type 409—cheapest type; used for automobile exhausts; ferritic (iron/chromium only)." Both are great kits but the 304 "should" last longer. Hope that clears it up.

I've checked around and RPM Motorsports is about $200 cheaper than anyone else. If your intrested in the MBRP you should definately give them a shout.
