Is anyone hearing rocks kick up your fenders? Is this hitting the paint? :/
Im so afraid to drive because I keep hearing it! LOL :/

I hear them. I think they are staying within the wheel wells and are because the tires are so soft and sticky. I havent seen any chips from them.

Not the same car,but my 27k mile daily driven Z06 kicks up so many rocks it sounds like a popcorn machine sometimes. Relax,you'll be fine.

Drake, nice to hear from you. Been a while.
11Bee, I don't think those will work on the ZL1 because of the rocker moldings. Those look nice though for being functional.

It's the tires. They get sticky after driving awhile and start picking up and slinging small rocks. 2011-2012 GT500s with SVT-PP came with the very same Goodyear F1-G2 tires. Its annoyIng when you drive over a dirty road, the undercarriage and fenderwells sound like theyre getting bombarded with BB pellets.

I got some sticky tires on my current ride and yeah you cringe with every knock from every pebble. You can stay in the garage or you can actually drive it hard like it was designed.

It sux because I live on a gravel road that I idle on so can get to my house... So u guys think it's hitting the plastic inside piece? The rear has a protector but not the front :/ kinda sux :/

Oh, it will chip. I drove mine home from Arizona to Oregon. I had to go over a couple passes with rocks and it was chipped by the time I got home. I have paint protection on now but you can't cover the whole car. I've chipped even more from racing it...but hell it's a car meant to be driven. The make more paint!

If you hear them they are hitting the wheel well. The soft compound tires pick up a lot of debris.
