stock mufflers

I could not find anything on this site related, so here is my question.

Has anybody else modified their stock mufflers to achieve a more deep sounding aggressive muffler. I am not sure if this can be done or not.

It seems that the design is pretty basic except for some sound material and extra sheet metal. But I am not sure of this.

Any suggestions?

you can delete them and add straight pipe. it will make them louder for sure but will add rasp too... if i did a muffler delete i would get a magnaflow res x pipe and call it a day

Thats exactly what I have done. I did a muffler delete and am trying to find ways to get rid of the rasp. Did the x pipe fix the rasp completely?

MRT 2.0 mufflers are cheap, save yourself some time, you will be pleased with their sound.

Yea the magnaflow res x pipe will pretty much completely remove the rasp.

Our system is just the Magnaflow resx and the 2.5" pipes.

Wow I knew the res x was great for rasp, but surprised it is enough alone with a muffler delete. Interesting.

Same here, I am shocked to learn that the x-pipe alone makes a world of difference.

Kind of confused by what you're asking but the resonated x-pipe is the way to go

Thanks, That is what i was wondering. There was two part numbers that I know of:

10791 and 11386. What is the benefit of using a resonated one.

Thanks,

Without resonated x pipe

With resonated x pipe

This will give you an idea. Different set up however.
